About MindSpark

Welcome to MindSpark - where you can find all my RedBook articles in a much nicer reading format!

Who am I?

Hey there! I'm Patrick, a web developer who lived in Canada for a few years. Right now, I'm working as an indie hacker and planning to dive into full-time content creation in 2025.

You might be thinking, "Wait, a male developer who loves reading?" Yep, that's me! I've actually been a Medium subscriber for years, where I read tons of dev docs and productivity articles. I wasn't really big on sharing stuff before because I figured everyone likes to read differently. But then something interesting happened - I was scrolling through RedBook one day and found this article with tons of likes and saves, but the translation was way off! When I looked closer, some parts weren't even saying what the original article meant! I dug deeper and found lots of accounts doing the same thing. All these articles with poor translations were making it hard for people to understand the real message.

You know what they say - knowledge and insights are only valuable when they're understood correctly. That's what pushed me to start my own account and share carefully picked articles.

"So you're a professional translator?" Nope! But I can read English articles just fine. I use Claude to help with the initial translations, and then I go through each sentence myself to make sure it makes sense in both languages. Though I gotta say, even after all that work, RedBook's image size limits can make some text pretty hard to read sometimes.

Why Another Website?

So here's something interesting - my creator center shows that people usually spend less than a minute on RedBook posts. Most just quickly scan and save articles for "later" (we all know how that goes πŸ˜…). Let's be honest, with how busy life gets, those saved articles often end up collecting digital dust. That's why I made this site - a cozy corner where you can actually sit down and read without all those notifications and distractions popping up.

Plus, while RedBook has its rules we need to follow, here on MindSpark we can chat about anything and everything!

It's also part of my personal brand. ✨ I'm also planning to share my knowledge about website building knowledge. Esprcially in the age of AI, more and more people start using AI coding IDE, that's where my expertise shines! If you have any difficulities or problems using them, or any questions about web developmen, feel fee to reach out to me.

Stay Connected

I want to build a little community where we can geek out about English articles and share what we think about them.
